So I played the Urban Burn a couple of weeks ago. Happened to record it, so here is my first more or less improvised gig:
Today I release a new album. This album is different from what I’ve done previously. It is four long ambient songs. Each song was written/improvised and recorded in a session each on my four track cassette recorder, the Tascam Portastudio 424. It was basically made in a week. The sound is rough and I’ve had no intention to make it hifi or fit in anywhere, it is just the sounds and sequences that first came to my mind. It may represent my writing process in an early stage! 424 I, as the album is called, is released for free on bandcamp today.
Hello! Long time no post.
On saturday I’ll be playing Niu, an arts music club (?) in Barcelona. The show will feature half an hour of NEW MATERIAL! Apart from me you will also be able to enjoy SQ (Sound Quartet) and Slim Vic live, don’t miss out!
Some of the shows this summer were recorded, and here is an outtake of the longest show I’ve ever performed:
Oh btw, those new songs. They’ll be recorded this winter, hopefully released early next year!
It’s been one month since the release of Immune and I can’t thank everyone enough for all the kind words I have gotten on the album! The album was written and produced over a long time during which only a few people heard it, and than when the album is finally out suddenly it all changes, and you don’t know what people will think. I always try to do music I’d like to listen to myself, but in the end you always gonna care about what others think, or at least when people come up to and says they like your what you’ve created, or tell you they’ve written a review, it is encouraging! So again, THANKS!
Here are a few reviews of the album:
Spanish blog, being very positive as far
“The soundtrack of the future from PRO424 with ‘immune'”
4 av 5 “Gives a warm feeling”
“Also ambient but then something completely different is the music by Pro424 (yes, I typed that correct, first I thought it said 242…) and the label assumes that I may not like this. This ambient music goes out, further down the line of history, as in: coming our way, and by passes Cage, Satie and Eno, but takes a lead from Tangerine Dream straight to the minimalist beats of Plastikman and/or any other work by Richie Hawtin. The arpeggios are great on this record and the beat is very minimal. Towards the end of ‘Dystopia’ one has the idea this is minimal techno with its use of delay and synthesizers, but throughout this all sound very cosmic in approach. I have no idea why Lamour thinks I may not like this. I love it. I love the early seventies synth music, I loved ambient house in the mid-90s and I always hoped that the current revival (or is that already over yet?) of cosmic music would lead to more beat-driven music. So the spacious rhythms of Pro424 are well spend on me. One excellent trip, this pro424. (FdW)”
Praising Immune hint to it’s sources of inspiration as well as the atmosphere of the album.
And also, last week Dystopia was played on SMOODS radio show at Studio 80 Radio in Amsterdam:

In may I played an outdoors show at Stockholm University (Resonans). The show was recorded, and now you’ll have a single opportunity to hear the recording. On saturday (29/11) the recording will be broadcasted on NF-Brus radio show. You’ll find more info in the facebook event:
Unfortunately the album is a bit delayed, and is now scheduled for release during the spring. More info on that soon!
My new album is finally starting to take shape. It’ll be my second full length album, and it’ll be around 45 minutes. I must say it is the best music I’ve made to date!
The album is being released on Lamour and will be released on vinyl and digital. If you’re interested in the vinyl, please give me shout!
We’re hoping for a release in January, but if you can’t wait for that long you can check out my gig from Fylkingen in February:
All of you people who’ve been to one of my gigs the last year will recognize a lot of the album, but not all of it.
More info soon!
